I love that women are empowered. I think it's take a long time for the world to get to this point. I'm surrounded by some of the strongest women I know. In my office setting, at SugarBelle, my mom and mother in law...everywhere I'm surrounded by strong, incredible women. I think there is something to be said about a community of women that are constantly supporting, empowering, and helping other women.
SugarBelle falls right into that category. SugarBelle does more for the women in our community behind closed doors than you would even imagine. I can speak from personal experience. When I was pregnant with my son, they came to my rescue with so many diapers to the point where I didn't have to buy diapers for the first 6 months of my son's life (yes, 6 whole months of diapers!). They saw a need and met the demand without hesitation.
SugarBelle employs local women of all ages from college students, to our sweet young DoorBelles, to our wonderful Mrs. Lynn. Each of these women are the roots of our sweet town. They are a part of our military, our education system, and everything in between. Our models also are key players in our community (please reference our model interviews here and here).
Everyday is Women's Day here behind these walls. Our store is graced with women daily that are going through so much. We've met some of the most amazing women...women that come in shouting from the rooftops that they were just pronounced "cancer free" to women that have recently lost their spouse that manage to continue on and take care of their precious children. We see you go through so much and you are all so incredibly strong. You push forward through it all. The long days, the long weeks...you do it all without complaining. You persevere. It's okay, there are days where I cry too while chowing down on a pint of ice cream but you move forward. You are actually constantly moving and doing, often doing for others before yourself.
Want to protest today? Prove them wrong. Prove everyone wrong. When they say you can't, you will and you do!
You give us a reason to celebrate every day. Your laughter, your hugs, even your chip on your shoulder. You love us through it all and we promise to love you right back.
Soon, we too have to meet another need. On March 18th, join us as we help another one of our own. Join us for our first ever Rock-A-Thon! The sidewalk will be lined with ladies of our community rocking (nonstop by the way) to help raise money for a local lady in need. We're kicking off the event at 6:00pm and will rock all night long! We're still looking for rockers. We ask that each rocker have a sponsor of $10 per hour. Bring a chair too!
If you're interested in joining us, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would love for you to be a part of this fun event!
Also, if you find yourself needing some womanly support, we're always here for you! Come visit us at 905 Boundary Street, Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm. Our doors are and our heart is always open!
