Model Behavior: Part 2

Model Behavior: Part 2

Fun fact: I have modeled for SugarBelle a few times and it can be terrifying. Standing in front of a camera without experience and knowing that you're about to represent something that means so much more than just clothing does something to you. It's quite the experience and one that we take very seriously.

These beautiful faces are not-so-new to SugarBelle. No ma'am, we have loved on Stephanie, Mallorie, and Annalise a little longer than Sara, Reaynna, and Alex. They too have the fire, power, and passion that all of our models encompass. They are everything that we want our business to represent and we think they do it well. Let's get to know these women a little better...

Stephanie is a local Beaufort girl (yes, they exist!) and she is a go getter quite like no other. You may recognize her from a local volunteer organization or maybe from running her 14th half marathon. She is so full of life and has a laugh that is contagious.

Q: You are one of the biggest go getters I know. What keeps you so driven?
A: Jesus- every morning I pray that I will be able to help someone or make a difference in someone's day. Either smile to a stranger or hug an elderly person or actually physically volunteering for something. I have the energy, why not use it?

Q: I think we all need that kind of energy in our life. So what's your favorite part of Beaufort?
A: Being a local is a double edge sword. You can't go anywhere without knowing someone and feeling safe and comfortable but then again, you always end up seeing everyone you know on the days that you look horrible.

There can't be such a day!

Q: Since you're kind of famous in a small town, what's one thing people would be surprised to find out about you?
A: I am terrified of frogs! I have cried, jumped out of a moving boat/car, and slept in my car so I wouldn't have to face a frog! It just gives me that heebee-jeebee feeling!

Q: So we definitely won't talk about frogs! Yikes! When you're down, what cheers you up?
A: A good run with my friend, a glass of wine, and a little shopping or a mani/pedi.

Okay, now running with wine sound so like the only way I would enjoy running! Oh, and frog! Kidding, I'm not that mean.

Q: Last one, what's your favorite part of being a model for SugarBelle?
A: I love what it stands for, women empowering women. Lifting each other up when we are at our darkest days and making us feel beautiful not only on the outside but on the inside as well. Most importantly the friendships that bloom once you are in the store.

Stephanie gives me warm fuzzies y'all.

Mallorie is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She has a kind, gentle spirit and I think that has everything to do with the fact that she has worked as a nanny and is passionate about working with children. I loved getting to chat with her.

Q: Answer the following question: I feel most powerful when:
A: I make a positive impact on someone's life, big or small.

Q: What does it mean to you to #belove?
A: To #belove means to be myself in the best way possible. Give and receive love. Be unlimited. Be intentional. Be uplifting. Be humble. Do all of it with passion.

I think I just found my new daily mantra. Gosh!

Q: Let's try something silly. Finish this sentence: Hakuna...
A: Tostada! Let's have a fiesta!

Um, yes! Pass the queso por favor!

Q: What should every woman try once in her life?
A: Every woman should go on a "no control date". Your husband (or significant other) gets to decide on what you wear, where you go, and you just have to go with it. He plans everything. Let go of your control and let your man make all of the decisions!

Q: So since you're all about letting go....let's be adventurous! What's on your bucket list?
A: I want to visit places that are filled with art history. I'd love to see the Parthenon, Charles Cathedral, Stonehenge, and the Great Pyramids to start...

Q: I am in! SugarBelle vacation! Tell me what you love most about being a SugarBelle.
A: I love that I can be myself. The SB crew always makes me feel so beautiful and loved for who I am! It's truly an honor and a blessing to model for the sweetest shop around! Cherimie has a heart of gold.

And so do you sweet girl.

Annalise is a spunky spitfire that  is one of those girls that can instantly make any day. She's from the sunny state of Florida which attributes to her sunny disposition. She's a Registered Nurse and an all around amazing woman. You won't believe the kind of music she listens to...

Q: If you were a biscuit, what kind would you be?
A: A ham biscuit because sometimes you gotta be a little salty!

Q: Let's say you are having a convo with 15 year old baby Annalise. What would you tell her?
A: Easy! Six words: Girl, hold on...hold on tight!

Q: What's the best decision you've ever made?
A: In the summer of 2015, I went to Costa Rica. While we were there, we did a lot of active outdoorsy stuff. It inspired me to live a more active and healthy lifestyle when I got back home. Coming from literally ground zero as far as fitness is concerned, I wanted to change it and quickly so I signed up for Crossfit. What started as an attempt to make my body healthy has turned into a true passion that has impacted me so much more than physically. It really, truly changed my life. I've had a few people tell me that my fitness journey is motivating and inspiring which blows my mind but is also very humbling and rewarding.

Hold my cookie, going for a run.

Q: You have such a spunky personality. Tell us something totally goofy and off the wall about you.
A: I listen to some serious hood rat music. I'm talking offensive! Sometimes when people get into my car and the radio turns on, I get embarrassed and feel like I have to apologize!

At least your friends get in the car with you...my friends run away from my car.... Oops!

Q: Ok, I do have to ask, why do you love being a model for SugarBelle?
A: The community involvement. SugarBelle participates in and hosts so many different types of fundraising events.

Again, these girls are a force to be reckoned with. They can move mountains...but only after  we give an elderly person a hug, have a fiesta, and turn the volume up on the radio! Our models are a melting pot all on their own. They truly inspire me, each and every one of them.

I hope to share more SugarBelle stories in the near future. I may even have a special one for you soon. To view yesterday's post, Model Behavior: Part 1, click here
